Ellis | Summer loving

My son Ellis asked me why I have not taken many photos of him lately and asked if he could be my next project. I am like a lot of mums always busy and always on the go a never ending whirlwind of washing cleaning work sleep - I took a step back to make some time for him over the summer - he gave me some ideas of what he wanted, he is currently learning about photography at school and he wanted to put some of his ideas in motion. Plus the time will come when he no longer lets me photograph him.

He is super sensitive and is nearly 7 years old. He is changing all the time he is covered in freckle, he is currently sporting a black eye - I asked how it happened the answer is always FOOTBALL!

Well straight after football I asked if I could take a photo of him before his front teeth fall out as one had fallen out and the other one is hanging out!
As I was snapping away he started to cry, he thought he had been naughty that day and he was thinking about it and it made him sad! I love to capture laughter and real happiness, this was the first
time I have captured his sensitive side..

Sadie clearly wanted in on the action as well. I have always loved black and white - but with her ginger hair I often feel black and white does not show the real Sadie! As this photo was moody and most of her mop was hidden under her hood I thought it suited her mood better.

We are currently working on our new website and have some really exciting projects this year. We are just catching up on the last few shoots and hope to get them blogged very soon.
